MAC 'All Fired Up' Lipstick

When I was in London I don't know what came over me, all of a sudden the need to buy a bright pink lipstick overcame me, a colour I have never even thought of before. While I was going for 'Girl About Town', Lizzy picked up 'All Fired Up' which looked gorgeous so on a whim I bought them both.

Well am I glad I bought this lipstick! I'm totally in love with this colour and it may even be my new favourite MAC lipstick. It is a retro matte finish so yep, it's extremely drying, maybe even more drying than Ruby Woo (if thats possible) but the colour makes up for it. I can't decide whether it's pinky red or reddish pink.. you can make that call but it's perfect for Spring and I know with a tan, this will look gorgeous! Unlike many fuchsia lipsticks, this has very warm undertones which I prefer as it doesn't wash me out.

I really would recommend checking out this lipstick the next time you're at a MAC counter, I can't get enough of it!

Apologies for my oh so crazy hair in this photo, it is getting the chop soon (which is well overdue!!).

What is your favourite MAC lipstick?!

#BeautyChatLIVE
Ooh the excitement of writing this post is too much! A few weeks ago the queens of beauty blogging Lily and Anna announced that they were taking their #BeautyChat series on tour where they host it live in several Space NK. stores around the UK and Ireland. As a huge fan of the pair I couldn't wait for the tickets to go on sale. In fact, Lizzy and I were the first ones to get tickets for the Dublin session (too keen? Nah just over excited!). The tickets cost €15 which was redeemable in store afterwards, perfect for all of us beauty lovers.

I genuinely had the best time at the event. We were offered champagne on arrival (very sophisticated I know) and after a few minutes Lily and Anna came out to start the Q&A. They answered some twitter questions and then some from the group as we all gathered around. Afterwards, we could shop around and have a chat.

I'm finding it hard to put in to words how great the event was, every aspect of it. The Space.NK event team were fabulous, so helpful and chatty. As the group was so small we all got a chance to have a good chat with Lily and Anna as well as comfortably shop around the store. The girls were absolutely lovely, we chatted about university, nail varnish and all things beauty! It was just so nice to be able to chat away with them. So chilled, so great, ahh I just had a ball!

I ended up buying the Living Proof Prime Style Extender (a recommendation from Anna) which I have yet to try but I'll report back to you about it ASAP!

So thanks a million to Space NK. for organising such a great event and giving me the opportunity to meet my all time favourite bloggers!

Did you attend #BeautyChatLIVE? What did you think of it?

London Beauty Haul

London Beauty Haul
Last week Lizzy and I packed our bags and jetted off to London for a few days. Lizzy's auntie was kind enough to take us in and let us stay for our trip, which meant we were able to spend time with her ADORABLE two year old cousin and squeeze in a bit of shopping!

Ok ok I'll admit it, I really didn't need anymore makeup, plus this trip was meant to be about buying clothes but I just couldn't help myself splurging on a few new items.

We'll start off with the high end products. When in the duty free on the way home, Lizzy and I had some money to spare, we were extremely overtired and our flight was delayed.. So what does that mean?! Buy two new MAC lipsticks of course! I purchased 'All Fired Up' on the right which is a Retro Matte finish and 'Girl About Town' on the left which is an amplified finish (more detailed posts about these coming soon!).

In Boots the first place I headed to was the Soap and Glory stand. I repurchased Brow Archery because mine was running out and it is just so quick and easy to use on college mornings (especially when I have to get up for 9am lectures!).

I also picked up the Supercat eye liner pen on a whim because I have heard so much about it and so far I'm loving it. The struggle to do a decent winged eye liner is real but this product makes it a whole lot easier.

Lastly I picked up one of my favourite mascaras, the L'Oreal Telescopic because I hate the mascara I'm currently using. It gives such length to your lashes and keeps them in place all day.

When we visited London in August, Bioderma was at the top of my wish list. Thanks to Lizzy, we found a pharmacy called John Bell and Croyden off Oxford Street that stocks it so what do we do? Buy a litre of it.. It is my favourite makeup remover so I figured a litre will last me a long time right?! (Bear with me while I try justify it.....)

I hope you enjoyed seeing the few beauty items I picked up in London!

Have you picked up any makeup bits lately?!

My Personalised Phone Case

My Personalised Phone Case

There is something so nice about a personalised phone case so when I recently got the opportunity get a personalised phone case by Mr. Nutcase I jumped at the chance. The photo I chose is possibly one of my favourite photos, it's a snap of Brighton beach last summer. The weather was perfect as we stood overlooking the beach from the pier.

I chose the Ultra Light Weight Slimline case* for my iPhone 4s. The thing that surprised me the most about this case was the quality of the photo, it was amazing! I took it on my iPhone so I wasn't expecting it to be the best quality but the company did an amazing job of making it look so crisp and clear. As the name of the case suggests, it's very slim and not bulky at all yet the plastic is quite good quality.

My only complaint about this phone case is that it doesn't come up over the sides of my phone and I'm sure if you're an Apple lover you know that the screen is... vulnerable to say the least. When using this case I'm always afraid that if I drop it the screen will pay the price!

If you want your own personalised phone case (or any other case for that matter) you can get one at Mr. Nutcase here

January Favourites
As the gloomiest month has drawn to a close and the evenings are getting brighter it can only mean one thing.. It's that time to share my January favourites with you all!

I have a full review of this foundation here so I won't go on for ages about it. I love pretty much everything about it- the coverage, the finish, the lasting power.. I can see why it is so highly recommended! The price was the only shame, along with the fact that you have to buy the pump separately (come on NARS!).

Since using new higher coverage foundations this month, I have completely gone off using my beauty blender and rekindled my love with an old favourite of mine, the Expert Face Brush. I love how dense this brush is and it blends in my foundation brilliantly!

Oh my aren't these just fabulous! I had been eyeing them up since early last year (I think they may have even featured in some of my wish lists?!) but I am over the moon that I actually took the plunge and bought them. Ive been wearing them most days since I got them, including a four day shopping trip to London and they were a dream to walk around in! Although it was difficult parting with the cash, it was so worth it as the boots are such good quality.

That is everything I have been loving this month (apologies that it was so short)!
What were your January favourites?!
