Hurry up Autumn | OOTD
Since coming home from America (it'll be five weeks on Monday, what?!), I have enjoyed nothing more than hitting the shops in search of some Autumn/ Winter clothes. After spending three months in a very warm climate, I have found myself getting fed up of shorts and sandals and being so ready for jumpers, coats and boots.

Don't get me wrong- I'm glad we have been blessed with good weather in Ireland over the last few weeks. As I'm so used to the California sun, I have found that on semi warm days (standard Irish summer days), while everyone is getting their summer dresses out, I'm sticking to my jeans willing Autumn to hurry up!
This is a typical nicer Autumnal outfit for me.. I have been loving off the shoulder tops all summer but this one is much more Autumn appropriate! It is from Penney's- don't you just love finding gems there?! There is no better feeling. I paired it with my grey Leigh jeans from Topshop and my Chelsea Boots from ASOS. This western style belt which I have been obsessed with is from Penney's too.. Unfortunately its a bit big but I have been making it work. For a pop of colour I wore my burgundy bag from Urban Outfitters.

Are you ready for Autumn fashion?!

August Instagram Outfit Roundup
Instagram is where you put your best foot forward, where you make it appear you have your shit together and above all else (for me anyway), its where I showcase all of my best outfits. It's hands down my favourite social media platform, sharing photos is just something I love to do and something I have always loved doing, especially when they all fit together in a lovely 'theme'. Ok ok I know the whole theme business can be quite controversial but I just love following accounts with pretty pictures and fashionable outfits, and I know some of my fellow bloggers are guilty of this!

As I share some of my favourite outfits on Instagram, I thought I'd give a quick run down of what I wore for the month of August on the blog too!

2nd August 2016
The depression of looking back on photos of my time in San Diego is real. Who knows what I was even getting up to that particular day, but I wore this top that I got sent from Shein.com. To be completely honest, I wouldn't recommend them. The top is poorly made and the material is flimsy, not a top that will last very long thats for sure!

11th of August 2016
Not that the outfit is very clear, I wanted to draw attention to it anyway. This was the day we started our road trip to Vegas and this was the first stop just after sunrise, the Seven Magic Mountains. They are basically painted rocks stacked on top of each other in the middle of the desert, but very cool nonetheless. The area is so vast, there is nothing for miles and miles all around you. The terrain is like nothing I had ever experienced before. As we had been driving for hours and through the night, comfort was key. I threw on my Brandy Melville shorts, my Pacific Beach sweatshirt and my Birkenstocks.. And the award for most fashionable tourist goes to me ✌️

12th of August 2016
That same day we visited the Grand Canyon, which was A-MAZ-ING. The views were stunning, it was just such a breathtaking place knowing that it is a natural structure. You can't fully appreciate it unless you have seen it for yourself and put the whole area into perspective. When you see an eagle fly throughout the Canyon, or see a tiny helicopter whizzing around, you can truly see how amazing it is. For my trip to the Canyon I wore my ASOS off the shoulder playsuit, my Birkenstocks and my Forever 21 choker.

When we finally arrived in Vegas I couldn't wait to properly dress up and hit the town. Even though I couldn't get into any clubs (Note: don't even bother going to Vegas if you're not 21), I was very happy with my outfits for the three nights. This was outfit number 2 and I was sporting this gorgeous corset from Topshop that I got in the sale years ago! I paired it with these fab Missguided white shorts and MAC Whirl Lipstick!

16th of August 2016
Aaand then I was back to the Emerald Isle and back to my fav- Penney's! The day I came home as I was feeling a bit lost for things to do, I naturally went to my local shopping centre for a browse. I picked this top up from Penney's and paired it with my black Jamie Jeans from Topshop, my favourite ASOS boots (old), my LaModa x Sarah Ashcroft Purse and Aisling's ASOS sunnies.

17th of August 2016
For a trip down to Waterford on a rainy day I wore my Hollister T Shirt, H&M Leather Jacket, black Topshop Jamie Jeans and my Penney's belt.

18th of August 2016
A little throwback to my time in San Fran at the Golden Gate Bridge! My kimono was Penney's and my backpack was ASOS.

23rd of August 2016
A trip to Dun Laoighre called for an obligatory visit to Scrumdiddlys. They have the best ice cream, if you are ever there you can't pass the place up! That day I was sporting Topshop.. Coat, jeans, bag, top- all Topshop! Except my boots of course which are my trust ones from ASOS.

25th of August 2016
I have a full outfit post done on this outfit- you can see that here!

26th of August 2016
You just can't have enough off the shoulder tops can you?! This one is the same one as earlier from Penney's, just in a different colour. I have a full outfit post of this coming very very soon, keep your eyes peeled!

30th of August 2016
Ahh my new favourite addition to my wardrobe- this Zara bomber! As this is such a statement piece, I always just pair it with black jeans and a white top to keep it really simple.

31st of August 2016
Last but not least- a selfie! I wore this outfit to the Magpie Magazine Launch, a great night and an even better read if you can get your hands on it! It is a women's magazine but packed full of amazing content. I wore this Missguided t shirt and Urban Outfitters scarf and threw my Zara trench over it.

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post- I think I might make them a monthly occurrence! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram to see all of my outfits as soon as I post them- @michelledalyxx.

Sephora, CVS & MAC Haul | August 2016
Even though being home from sunny San Diego about a week is quite depressing, there is nothing better to cheer me up than new makeup. Being broke all the time was tough when Sephora was on my door step for three months, however I made sure to put some money away to splurge towards the end of the trip.

The Essentials
Of course I had to stock up on some of my holy grail makeup products while I could. As they were right on front of me and cheaper than normal it would have been rude not to! I picked up a new Beauty Blender because I can't do my makeup without it these days, the Anastasia Brow Whiz in Medium Brown and my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, all of my favourite products.

BASE
I picked up two primers as I wanted to branch out a bit from my Benefit Porefessional, the first being the Becca Ever- Matte Poreless Priming Perfector which is a similar concept to Benefit primer.  While at the checkout, I was offered a mini of the Too Faced Hangover Primer in exchange for points. I jumped at the chance of getting it because it was on my list anyway and as it was a miniture version it gave me a great chance to try it out. So far so good too, I have been loving it so far and I much prefer it to the Becca primer that I bought! Next I bought another corrector just to try something new. I got the Naked Skin Corrector in Pink which really brightens up under my eyes. The formula is the same as the Naked Skin Concealer which I have yet to try however I can't wait to get my hands on it and some other shades of the Naked Skin Correctors! To set everything I bought a mini of the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I've been loving this as it does a great job in setting my face and under eyes as well as baking while not giving you flash back in photos. Just as a multi purpose product I picked up the MAC Fix Plus Spray which I have been wanting to try for a long time along with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

CHEEKS
In an attempt to try and expand my blush collection, I bought the Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore. I really liked the formula of these blushes but I just wasn't a fan of the colour I had. I was looking for a similar colour to MAC's MSF in Stereo Rose that is discontinued and I think I found a pretty good dupe! On a whim I bought the mini version of the Nars Orgasm and Laguna Duo which I was very disappointed in. I've heard people saying that this is their holy grail product which I don't understand at all! For $24 you don't even get good pigmentation, you're just paying for the name to be honest!

EYES
I tried to be as refined as I could with regards to eyeshadow, I don't need anymore palettes but I couldn't resist this Anastasia Beverly Hills single eyeshadow in Truffle Glitter. I wore this shade all over my lid in one of my latest Instagrams, you can see it in action here! On the Sephora website this shade is described as a titanium brown with burgundy glitter.  Although I wanted to try more I held myself back, especially after buying this MAC Pro Palette with room for 9 eyeshadows. I had never seen this before in Ireland so I got very excited when I saw this and I knew I had to have it! For lashes, my favourites have to be the Ardell Demi Whispies and the Naturals so I picked up a packet of each of them. For eye brows, I had to pick up the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown and it has quickly become one of my holy grail products. It lasts all day and makes your brows look nice and full.

LIPS
I bought one lip product in the US but it is one that I can't get enough of! I got the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow n Arrow. This is the perfect everyday slightly darker nude which I have been loving. If you are ever going to the states, make sure to pick up one of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, the formula is so so good.

Well wasn't this a long one! I hope you enjoyed reading about what I bought while in America, I wish I was still there spending my days strolling down the boardwalk and shopping in Sephora but don't all good things come to an end. Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?!
