The Perfect Summer Foundation

Seeing as the UK and Ireland has been having a heatwave the last few days, I thought I would mention my new go to product, perfect for this weather.

I was faced with a dilemma, I didn't want to pile my face with a thick foundation in this heat, but I couldn't help feel like I needed coverage if I was leaving the house.. Thats when I came across a miracle product in my mothers makeup bag of all places! When we were in America she bought the Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation by Tarte, a moisture rich powder which provides medium coverage.

I never trusted powder foundations, I didn't think that they had the same effect as liquid foundation, until I tried this one! I apply it in circular motions with the Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush and it doesn't feel like I have any product on my face, yet I have coverage. To make it better, it lasts a really long time.. I really can't say a bad word about it!

I know that Tarte can be hard to come by, but if you ever have the opportunity to try this foundation, I would highly recommend it.

My MAC Eyeshadow Palette

My MAC Eyeshadow Palette

There is something about MAC eyeshadows that I love. The huge range of colours that can be put in such sleek packaging, and the fact that your whole palette is completely personal. It can be overwhelming at times with so many different shades and finishes so I would recommend doing your research before you purchase. I have been collecting them for months now and I have finally filled up my palette so I had to share it with you all!

My Eyeshadows:
Top: Nylon, Retrospeck, Naked Lunch, Kid, All That Glitters.
Middle: Quarry, Amber Lights, Patina, Sumptuous Olive, Coquette.
Bottom: Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, Antiqued, Sketch, Club.

These eyeshadows are in a Large/ Single Pro Palette with a 15 eyeshadow slot insert. I also thought I'd show you my 2 eyeshadow insert Pro Palette which holds eyeshadows I use on my brows. Although I have found a new love (the Soap and Glory Brow Archery), I do use these to fill in my eyebrows from time to time.

Eyeshadows:
Omega & Charcoal Brown

Some of my most loved include:
Nylon - The perfect inner corner highlight to brighten up your eyes.
Sumptuous Olive - An army green colour, my way of incorporating a bit of colour into my makeup.
Woodwinked - Just as Tanya Burr says, put it all over the lid and blend it into the crease with loads of mascara when you have a tan and you really can't go wrong.
Sketch - Deepens up the crease while adding some colour.

Thank you for reading! What is your favourite MAC eyeshadow?

USA Haul | Drugstore Edition

USA Haul | Drugstore Edition

Second to Sephora, I couldn't wait to run to Target or Walmart to pick up some much cheaper, yet just as good beauty products. I didn't go too crazy in the drugstore, mainly because I went all out in Sephora (you can see my haul here) but I still got a few gems that I am very happy with.

I hadn't planned to buy this product but I was drawn to it. The shape of it claims to make it easier to do eyeliner so I thought I'd give it a go. I didn't want to buy many NYX products, because we supposedly have it in Ireland now but I have yet to come across it..

Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation
I feel like this foundation was a big deal in 2013.. I heard so much about it so I decided to try it out however I will have to wait a while to wear it because (shockingly) it is too light for me, but I really like it so far!

It's a 10 Leave in Conditioner
A bit of a rip off in my opinion, we have so many just as good if not better products half the price here in Boots. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's just not worth the price.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Monte Carlo'
It was just too pretty to not buy!

Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in 'Cool Mint'
I didn't like the original Baby Lips as in my eyes, nothing beats Vasaline for chapped lips but I wanted to try this as it was medicated. I actually really like this product, it does a much better job than the original and it feels really nice on the lips.

Ardell Natural Lashes
I always hear Shaaanxo on YouTube rave about these lashes so I decided to see what all of the hype was about.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
This brand is pretty famous for their mascaras and as we don't have it in Ireland I had to try one out. So far I really like it.

Thanks for reading and expect part 3 of my USA Haul series next week!

Please follow my bloglovin as last week I changed my blog name and I lost all of my followers :(

USA Haul | Sephora Edition

USA Haul | Sephora Edition

Doesn't everyone just love a good beauty haul? Before my recent trip to the States, the place that I wanted to go to the most was Sephora. I had never been before so I was planning on doing some damage! After months of waiting and saving my money I finally arrived and yes, I went a bit crazy so I don't think I will be buying makeup for a very long time..

I knew I had to pick up the Stila In the Light palette! I never owned anything from Stila before but I thought the eyeshadow 'Kitten' looked amazing so instead of buying it on its own, I thought I would pick up the palette. I was under the impression that the palette came with the liquid eyeliner which I couldnt wait to try but after I bought it I looked at it and it was actually the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in 'Damsel' which is a dark brown colour.

Tarte was one brand that I was absolutely dying to try! I picked up the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation and the Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush, which is recommended for this foundation. First of all can we talk about the packaging? Its so cute! I haven't tried these yet but expect a full review in a few weeks.

I was very excited when I saw this product.. The They're Real Push Up Liner is a new release from Benefit so I had to pick it up! It is a gel eyeliner in a pen form.. Seems like a good idea right? Well expect a full review on it soon, but I am not completely sold on the idea yet.

A cult favourite, The Beauty Blender. I love the Real Techniques spin off of this product so I thought it was only right to see how the original product compared.

Another Tarte product but all I can say about the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse is no, it turns my brows orange so I will probably be giving this away.

I blame this one on Lily Pebbles.. I saw her Instagram picture of her wearing this and I was sold! It is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 and I love it. It is showing up much more orange on camera but I would describe this as a classic red colour, a colour you can't have enough of, am I right?

Moving swiftly on to skin care, I picked up the First Aid Beauty Starter Kit. It came in a really cute little box but unfortunately it didn't survive the journey home. I heard so much about this brand from pretty much every popular American beauty guru on YouTube so I was very interested in seeing if these products actually worked or if the Youtubers were simply being payed to rave about them. I have been using them about a week now and admittedly I am impressed but I will report back in a few weeks with a full review.

I have wanted to try a charcoal mask for the longest time so seeing as I have not seen this around Ireland, I thought I would give it a try.

Lastly I thought I would throw in my freebies! I haven't tried these yet but how good are Sephora for giving out such great samples?! They really will last me a long time.

Thanks for reading my Sephora Haul! Expect a substantially smaller USA Drugstore haul next week haha. Have you ever been to a Sephora, or even ordered online?

June Favourites

Hello everyone! Personally, June has been a complete whirlwind. I have gone from sitting my final exams of secondary school to jetting off to America quite soon after so I am finally getting settled back down to everyday life.

Starting with fashion favourites, I have been loving my Topshop White Joni jeans. White has taken over the high street over the past few weeks and I have been taking full advantage of it. I am trying my best to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe, I'm basically trying to wear less black so white  is a start. I can't decide if I prefer the Joni or Leigh jeans from Topshop but Joni is very stretchy and comfortable, they are also super high waisted, which is always good.

Next I have been obsessed with MAC - Ruby Woo lipstick. Originally I preferred Russian Red but since misplacing it (devastated isn't even the word) I have been using Ruby Woo much more. It is brighter than Russian Red so I find it more wearable for everyday however it is so drying. Your lips really do need a break and a lot of vasaline after using this but it is worth it because it is so pretty!

I'm sure I have featured this product before but it is The Soap and Glory Brow Archery. All that I am going to say about this product is you need it in your life. It is a waxy pencil on one end and a felt tip on the other to tint your brows. It is one of the only products which doesn't turn my brows orange, that is never a good look.

Lastly my obvious favourite has been my trip to America. It was a fabulous two weeks or touring California and Chicago and I couldn't be more grateful of being able to go on the trip!!

What have you been loving in June?
