OOTD: Graduation

OOTD: Graduation
Last Friday, the 16th of May, I graduated from secondary school.. What? It still blows my mind to think that after 6 years there I will never be going back. My everyday routine will completely change as I (hopefully) will be going to university in September. The thought of not having to wear my uniform five days a week is great, however it makes me want to run out the door and go shopping!

For our graduation, in the morning we had a lovely mass in the school chapel followed by refreshments in the library, then we went home and got ready. The function was held in a hotel in Dublin city centre which my whole year group and the teachers attended.

I wore this gorgeous dress from Oh My Love, an online store which I found through Instagram. I was really impressed with the quality of the dress and the efficient service of this company. The dress arrived within days in such cute packaging so I highly recommend checking them out! My shoes are from Topshop and my lipstick is MAC's Russian Red, one of my favourite lipsticks.

Here are some more pictures of the night!

Insta Life
As a blogger, social media is key. I don't necessarily use my social media to promote myself but I do it to chat to other bloggers and generally people who have the same interests as me.

Lately I have been getting very into Instagram (you can follow me here). I love taking pretty pictures and experimenting with filters so its always my go to app!

I also made a Twitter recently! I have been boycotting Twitter but I finally bit the bullet and made one and I have been loving it so far. I forgot how good it was to type absolutely everything that pops into your head!

Feel free to follow me on my social networks and I'll most certainly follow you back.

Boots Haul

Boots Haul
With my graduation from secondary school fast approaching I thought I would be well prepared for the big night out. I have the dress and I decided to check out what other beauty products I was lacking to avoid the unnecessary stress next week. I headed along to Boots with my list of products however I got sucked into the 3 for 2 deal and ended up with slightly more than I needed.. But I'm not complaining!

Firstly I picked up the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil, this was 100% unplanned! I was originally looking for a clear mascara for my eyebrows but when I was unsuccessful in finding one I stumbled across this. The day before my trip to boots I was watching Zoella's April Favourites and in it she raves about this product, that paired with my mam rushing me out of the shop I just decided to buy it. Even though this was an impuse buy I am not disappointed! I have replaced this with using my MAC charcoal brown eyeshadow and I think it looks a lot nicer. One side is a felt tip which tints your eyebrows and the other side is a waxy pen to fill them in. Although I wish the colour was slightly lighter for me, it does the job very nicely.

Next I bought Essie- Licorice nail varnish, a product that I had planned to buy. It is just a standard black glossy nail varnish that I needed to go with my outfit.

After recently running out of my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer I had to run out and buy another pronto! It is a very thick, high coverage concealer (which I desperately need) that I use under my eyes. I usually use the colour light but they were sold out so I bought medium instead as on the night I will have tan on. This is my favourite concealer as it is so high coverage but it does tend to crease from time to time!

Sally Hansen does the best tan, I love it and use it on every night out. The only thing is it rubs off onto my clothes but I have found that no other tan looks as nice as this one. I got the colour medium along with this random tanning mitt.

Lastly I picked up Rimmel Stay Matte powder as my beloved MAC powder has run out. I haven't tried this powder yet so I hope it does the job!

Thanks for reading, I hope you are having a lovely Sunday!

April Favourites

April Favourites
My April Favourites is here! Better a week late than never right? Ok so since when is it half way through 2014? My exams are fast approaching and the pressure is on. I'm really excited for May.. I'm graduating secondary school next week along with One Direction!

I surprising loved a few beauty items this month as I got to try out a few new products.

I got these Topshop boots at the beginning of the month for a party and I have been in love with them every since! They were quite pricey but with the help of a voucher and my student discount card it was almost paid for! I love them because they really do just dress up an outfit and can be worn with anything.

Next is my MAC Prep and Prime BB Cream, which i have a full review on here. I got a sample for Christmas and I liked it so I bought the full size however I have since went off it but in April I have been loving it again. It is very light coverage which was good as it has been slightly sunny here in Ireland and it has just been feeling very Spring like.

Ah my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.. I received this for my birthday and ever since I have been using it every time I used foundation. I found this to be excellent paired with the MAC BB Cream rather than a more higher coverage foundation like the L'Oreal True Match. It just gives such a natural finish which I have been loving lately.

I got my mam the Naked Palette for Mothers Day a few weeks ago and since I have stole it on many occasions to try it out. Apart from the unbelievable amount of fallout from some shades I think I prefer this to my Naked 2. The warmer colours really complement my skin tone. For a more natural eye look I have been pairing 'Sin' on the lid with 'Buck' through the crease. I will definitely be trying it out more in the coming months.

Oh Paolo.. If you have been following me on twitter or instagram you will know that I have been obsessing over his new album. My dad bought Paolo Nutini - Caustic Love during April and I haven't stopped listening to it! His first album is my all time favourite album and unfortunately I don't think this one is up to par, however it really is worth a listen.

What have been your April favourites?

OOTD: #LLAMmeetup

So I went to a blog meet up last weekend (I blogged about it here) but I wanted to share with you what I wore on the day.

I have to say I took a step out of my comfort zone and wore these statement trousers from River Island. I fell in love with them when I saw them in the shop so I had to buy them. I paired them with a simple black cami from New Look, my statement triangle necklace from Topshop and my chunky black boots which are also from Topshop. My favourite jacket at the moment is this leather jacket from H&M which I love with this outfit.

Special thanks again to Hannah who organised the wonderful event.
